Isover® was founded in 1937 by Saint-Gobain, the worldwide leader in lightweight and sustainable construction and the largest manufacturer of building materials globally. Isover® is a combination of the words 'insulation' and 'verre', French for insulation and glass. Since the beginning, we have been delivering innovative and sustainable insulation solutions that are used in both residential and commercial construction. Additionally, Isover® has a special range for applications in industry, HVAC, marine and offshore, automotive, trains, household appliances, and solar boilers.

We are committed to achieving a CO₂-neutral and circular economy by 2050. We accomplish this by making our production more sustainable. In 2024 we implemented a hybrid furnace with up to 50% electric boosting in our Dutch factory in Etten-Leur. The furnace is heated with green electricity and a mix of gas with pure oxygen, ensuring a very efficient combustion.

Moreover, 60% of our glass wool products are part of the Lanaé range. These products are made from recycled material and with a biobased binder. To provide insight into the sustainability of our products, we have prepared environmental product declarations (EPDs), which we make publicly available.
