ORAÉ® Low-Carbon Glass

Glass is a key material in modern architecture, but its production is energy-intensive and contributes significantly to CO₂ emissions. Reducing the carbon footprint of glass is essential for creating more sustainable buildings.
Saint-Gobain Glass's ORAÉ® is the first low-carbon glass substrate on the market. With a verified carbon footprint of just 6.64 kg CO₂ eq./m² (42% lower than the EU baseline) it sets a new standard in embodied carbon reduction.
LANAÉ® Bio-Based Glass Wool
Brand: Isover
Glass wool insulation plays a crucial role in reducing a building’s energy demand by limiting heat loss and improving thermal comfort. When produced sustainably, it not only enhances energy efficiency but also reduces the environmental footprint of the materials themselves.
LANAÉ® is a new generation of glass wool made with over 50% bio-based and recycled content. With excellent thermal and acoustic performance, LANAÉ® supports both energy savings and circular construction, helping to lower embodied carbon in buildings.
Façade Insulation System
Brand: Strikolith
Thermal insulation is one of the most effective ways to reduce a building’s energy demand. By minimizing heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer, façade insulation systems significantly lower the need for heating and cooling, directly reducing CO₂ emissions.
Strikotherm systems envelop buildings like a thermal jacket. They are available in multiple configurations—including natural fiber options—and help maintain a balanced indoor climate while reducing heating and cooling needs. The systems are KOMO-certified and meet European ETAG-004 standards.
3D-printed concrete structures
Brand: 3D.Weber
Traditional methods often require excess material, formwork, and on-site adjustments, all of which generate waste and emissions.
In Eindhoven, the first legally habitable 3D-printed concrete house in Europe was realized as part of Project Milestone, using Weber technology. The house was printed layer by layer with only the material needed, eliminating formwork and minimizing offcuts. This approach not only reduces waste but also shortens construction time and lowers the environmental footprint, delivering more performance with less material.

Lightweight Tile Adhesives

Reducing the weight of construction materials lowers transport emissions, eases manual handling, and reduces packaging waste - all while maintaining performance.
Weber’s Delight ultra-lightweight tile adhesives allow professionals to cover the same surface area with a 12,5 kg bag as with a traditional 25 kg bag. This results in up to 35% less physical strain for installers and significantly reduces CO₂ emissions during transport and application.
