Origins and evolution of 3D concrete printing in the Benelux
The 3D concrete printing journey began in 2005. What started with the world’s first 3D-printed concrete wall has grown into a mature, sustainable building method. In 2019, we launched Europe’s first commercial 3D concrete printing factory in Eindhoven, followed by a second site in the Czech Republic in 2022.
From the beginning, sustainability has been at the core of our technology. By printing concrete only where structurally necessary, material use is drastically reduced, achieving up to 60% less CO₂ emissions compared to traditional methods.
A newly developed eco-friendly mortar for 3D construction in 2024 reduces cement by nearly 50%, offering an even more sustainable solution that maintains both strength and workability.
